Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Rochester, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 10 AMβ7:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Nam Vang Restaurant at (585) 319-4137; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 324 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded vietnamese & pho in Rochester.
Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rochester follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is our first pho restaurant since moving to Rochester and it is exactly what we were looking for. Ive had a lot of pho in my life and as pho in the US goes, this was very good. A little salt heavy, but the broth had perfect fat content and did taste very good. They use vermicelli noodles as opposed to the flat pho noodles but thats typical of restaurants that dont make their own noodles. Vermicelli noods are good too. I noticed they have bun bo hue as well which is a great central dish and one you dont see often at non central VN specific restaurants. Long story short, well be back, probably with moderate regularity.

Authentic Vietnamese food. I came here for dinner. The restaurant was clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I got Chicken Pho and Chao long and Banh my. They both tasted good. Sadly Chao ling did not have the ingredients I was looking for. Still a Good Vietnamese restaurant I can recommend

Always a good experience here. I normally call in and get pho to go (btw I read a review below that the food was raw and they had to throw it out... You ding dong, the food is fresh and the broth will cook your raw meat lol). I love the pho broth, excellent flavor and delicious every time! Took my mama out to lunch and was able to grab some photos - the fresh spring rolls were big and packed... So good!!! The staff was very nice and friendly. She enjoyed it here, so we shall be back!

The food was average (the soup was raw - we had to throw it out!) and one of the items was in a smaller portion than other places. The cashier was not nice and made us feel not welcomed. I don't think we'll go to this place again. Try next door or somewhere else if you're looking for food in the area.
